With the Chicago Bulls being eliminated, largely in part to injuries suffered by Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah, the East looks to be Miami’s for the taking.  The one-point differential between the Boston Celtics and the 76ers can only mean one of two things:  Either Philadelphia has made drastic improvements over the past month, or the gap between the East’s top two teams (Chicago and Miami) and everyone else is THAT large.

Hey, look!  The Oklahoma City Thunder might be playing another game soon.  Monday, the Thunder will play their first game in 10 days...

Dwyane Wade, Ray Allen think they should be paid for Olympics

Call them the greatest tandem of athletes to ever join forces on a single team in the NBA, but there’s no denying the group of LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade have a knack for drumming up controversy.

“It’s a lot of things you do for the Olympics — a lot of jerseys you sell,” Wade was quoted as saying in post-practice interview on Wednesday.  ”We play the whole summer. I do think guys should be compensated. Just like I think college players should be compensated as well. Unfortunately, it’s not there. But I think it should be something, you know, there for it.”

LeBron, Miami Heat act is ridiculous

Lebron James expressed great satisfaction in his Miami Heat’s disposing of the Boston Celtics in the 2011NBA Playoffs.  James cited the struggles he had with the Celtics while a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers.  He was called a quitter by many members of the national sports media for his uninspired effort in the Cavs’ elimination game last season, and he was heavily scrutinized for “taking [his] talents to South Beach” and joining the Miami Heat this past offseason...
